Printable Plans: Section House

These are a simple design for a section house that I designed for friends module.

Design

It is not based on a specific prototype but was influenced by some on the Southern Pacific and the Santa Fe railroads.  The module theme is a freelance mountain town and so I wanted to make them a generic design.IMG_1582

The design is also very similar to what you would find in many mining towns as company owned homes that wound be rented or sold to the resident miners.  It could be very easily adapted into a company store or as just a small home in any city.

Printing

Click on the plans to enlarge them and then right click to save it to your computer.  It is laid out to print on a letter size sheet of paper (8 1/2x 11″).  It is also pre scaled to 1:160 so you will be able to get your measurements off of the drawing with a n scale ruler.  If you would like these plans scaled to a different scale please contact me and I would be more than happy to do that for you.Mod A Station SECTION BUILDINGS (1)

This is a building I’m going to build!
    Thanks for the drawing :)

    Great!
I hope it goes well for you and the plans work too. If you have any questions, please ask.

    chris (and other readers),
I found it printed best when converted to a PDF file, instead of just saving as an image (e.g. JPEG). The image file is very blocky and not at all useful tofr model work – the PDF is crisp and easy to maesure from.

    Philip,
I always print mine off in PDF format as well and was unaware that the JPEG was so bad. I will try to upload future plans as PDF’s if I can.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Would be great if the drawings/plans were in PDF format, as I can’t seem to get my printer to print it out in the proper size/dimension. :/
