Tim Purcell’s TNT Transfer

Tim Purcell, the creator of the Plaza Hotel made partially of DPM modular walls has now submitted his latest project for us at N Scale Limited to share with you.

It is named the TNT Transfer and is built from a DPM Track Side Transfer kit.  To add some uniqueness to his kit, Tim scratch built an arched roof over the warehouse area of the kit.  He simply built the roof by curving a sheet of .010″ styrene in the opening and then adding .015x .040″ strip styrene ribbing.  The ends were also closed in with sheet styrene and additional ribs.  Tim also added a floor to the inside of the structure so he could model the doors on the dock open and add an interior.  After he had finished painting the structure he than detailed it by adding figures by Woodland Scenics and freight loads from whom he believes is Merten.

Those of us at N Scale Limited are proud to share the structures that Tim has built and please don’t hesitate to ask him any questions in the comment section about something you are curious of.
