Mike is a great guy, I haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet, but the many times that he and I have communicated it has been great. It has been an honor to know him and I look forward to seeing his future high quality kits that he is working on.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Duggan, owner of Paw of a Bear, today in Timonium, MD at a train show. The detailing of his products are incredible. He is a personable gentleman who went out of his way to talk to a relative newcomer to the hobby. He even showed me the plans of a new structure he was designing. I was very impressed with quality and detailing of his kits.

Thanks Jamie,
If the ranch house is half as good as this kit then it will still be a great one.

Glad to see you are back to work on your layout.

Great review! Thanks for discovering POAB kits. The N-scale ranch house looks to be an ideal fit for a town scene I am about to start building.

That is a really nice kit and an excellent build. Sadly, the window and door offerings from both Grandt and Titchy are too limited to be included in most laser kits.

I hope Paw of a Bear will expand their n-scale line.

Rich,
The muttons & mullions are the closest to scale I have ever seen. When I scratch build with wood I usually use the Titchy windows. But I agree, many companies use the Titchy or Grandt Line in HO, but they are nonexistent in N.

The shingles are laser cut paper that I colored with a brown Prismacolor marker. They are great because I feel many companies use too thick of a material for the shingles, but these were just right.
