A Ride Into Penn Station

New York City’s Penn Station — one of the most famous rail destinations in the Northeast, served by the equally famous North East Corridor (NEC). That’s exactly what this Trainiac Productions video is all about. You’ll see a 5 minute approach into Penn Station, arriving from the south on the NEC — all shot from the cab!
Unfortunately, Trainiac Productions has setup this video so that it cannot be played from other Web sites. But I liked it so much, that I thought I needed to share it away — you just need to watch it on YouTube instead of here on N Scale Limited. Just click the video below and then follow the “Play on YouTube” link, or go directly to the video on YouTube.
Trainiac Productions had this to say in their video description, “After rolling over the busiest interlocking in the United States, we’ll pull up to the platform, ending our best railfanning shot of our almost one year in action.”
Personally, I think the view at around 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the video is simply amazing. No matter where you are on a train coming into Penn, you can see this scene and overhead cantanery, but it just doesn’t compare to the view from the cab.
You can see even more on the Trainiac Productions You Tube channel.
